Acupuncture is generally not painful. The needles are very thin and cause minimal discomfort—often just a brief tingling or dull sensation. Most patients find it relaxing and even fall asleep during treatment.

Most appointments last about an hour. Acupuncture treatments range from 30–90 minutes, depending on additional modalities utilized. Medication & Supplement Therapy Management consults are 30 minutes.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Eat a light meal beforehand, and avoid coming in on an empty stomach or intoxicated. Gowns and drapes are provided for comfort and privacy.

We do not accept insurance for any of the services offered. However, patients may contact their insurance provider to check if acupuncture or other services are covered. We are happy to provide an invoice or superbill with all necessary codes, which you can submit for possible reimbursement.
